I'm back in Glen Ellyn for the next few days, and today's adventure is the Salt Cave with SlackMom. She said the only thing I need to bring is white socks. Which is good advice for pretty much anything.**
This morning I got up early to work out at the local fancypants gym. This is one of my favorite parts of coming home (I know, this is sad.) But it's clean and big and people don't stare at your boobs.***
I went as SlackMom's guest, which meant she had to go, too. She hopped on the treadmill while I lifted, and then I hopped alongside her while and we finished our respective workouts.
Me: I'm going to go back to the hotel and shower.
SlackMom: I'm just going to wash my face. We're going to the salt cave!
Me: But aren't we getting lunch afterwards?
SlackMom: Yes.
Me: So I like to be clean while I eat.
SlackMom: Aren't you fancy?***
*If your family is good for your blood pressure, you're doing it wrong.
**This is untrue.
***They still stare, they just cover it better.
****I am fancy!
