A few of you have sent this to me. It's an incredibly sweet story about a guy gearing up to propose to his girlfriend via blog. The author asks everyone to write an entry about their proposal story and link back to the post.
Again, I'd like to reiterate that I think this is romantic and awesome and I think it's an honor that they're letting everyone be a part of such an incredible event. While some people still have this idea that we're sitting in dark basements at our mother's computers, I've found that the Internet has expanded my social circle, not diminished it. I watched Gwen and Joel dance salsa at their wedding reception. I watched the inauguration at Jessica Gottlieb's house. I met my husband on the Internet.
MarcyWrites is asking everyone to blog their proposal story so we can all be a part of history - The First Ever Internet Blog Proposal.
So I'd blog about my proposal, except that it was via blog. In January, 2007. :)

Will's moved his blog from blogger to WordPress, but the original post is
here (sans comments, where he clarifies yes, he's asking.) (
Edited to add: Will found the comments! They're
here.)
I
accepted (and explained, since it came out of the blue) here.
I'm sure that we weren't the first, either.
So congratulations, couple-to-be. Two years in Internet time is like forever, anyway.
Also, Will and I will be at
Digital LA tonight. Come say hi!
